Michael Binnion is an entrepreneur and policy leader who works at the intersection of energy, capital, and security. He is the CEO and founding shareholder of Questerre Energy, a public company that has pioneered natural gas exploration and shale development for more than two decades. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the Modern Miracle Network and serves as Chair of the Canada Strong and Free Network. He is also a former Chair of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

Michael sits on the Alberta Next Panel, which is examining Alberta’s constitutional and economic options within Canada. As CEO of QEC he led a constitutional challenge in Quebec arising from a major natural gas discovery, a case with implications for property rights, provincial jurisdiction, and national energy policy.

He is the Founder and Chairman of the Sage Roots Foundation, focused on Indigenous entrepreneurship and community prosperity. A Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, Michael is a frequent speaker on global energy markets, policy, and the transition.
